I'm pleased to announce that the long awaited MidiBridge 1.5 is now available.
This version includes Scene Management, where you can save entire MidiBridge configurations into scene slots which can be recalled from the MidiBridge scenes panel or via MIDI Program Change message.
In conjunction with the scenes feature, a new module for issuing Program Changes to apps or devices is included. You can change programs manually using the module or if saved as part of a scene, when that scene is loaded, the program changes are issued automatically. Thus you can change sounds on apps/devices as you switch scenes.
The new Stream Byter module is also included in this release. This allows you to extend the MidiBridge engine to do user defined mapping, cloning and blocking of events. This module allows you to do things like create many keyboard zones, overlapping splits, controller splits, note to controller mapping and finer event blocking and a whole lot more. The Stream Byter does require understanding of the MIDI protocol, so probably not for beginners, but since Stream Byter rules can be pasted from an email or website we can produce rulesets for you if you outline your requirements.
We have produced some support materials for the new features:
Online guides:
Scenes/Program Changer Guide
Stream Byter Guide
Videos:
Scenes/Program Changer
Stream Byter
As always, if you need help with any aspect of MidiBridge please email us or post to the support board here and we will do our best to help you out.
Regards, Nic.
