Hi,
Just bought midi bridge and I would like to route different apps into different midi channels. The master keyboard ( external one connected through CCK) will only trasmit the notes on channel 1 and will configure the Faders with CC7 for each channel to control the volumes of each app.
Should I establish some rules for each app to transform the incoming midi channel 1 into the right one? I assume yes ( e.g. something like X0 = X1 to make from channel 1 to channel 2) but could you please confirm?
Any stream byter manual to understand the language used?
Second thing: I tried to transpose the notes with note mapper and saw no change. Any hint or try how to do it right?
Thanks!

Hi alexbela, From what I can gather from your description you want to play multiple apps simultaneously from the keyboard using the faders to control the volume of each? You will need to clone the incoming channel 1 notes to each channel you want to play with rules like: N0 = X1 +C # clone CH 1>2 N0 = X2 +C # clone CH 1>3 N0 = X3 +C # clone CH 1>4The above rules are only cloning note events (N0 not X0) - all other events are being left untouched (since you want to use CC7 on multi channels on your keyboard to control each channel volume), so pitchbend, aftertouch, mod etc. will remain on channel 1 unless you write rules to remap/clone these also The built-in manual is the definitive reference to the Stream Byter, but there is also a guide here which you could find useful. Of course, just post here if you need assistance. On the Note Mapper issue, you probably need to check your MIDI routing in both MidiBridge and the app your are controlling with your keyboard. First make sure that in MidiBridge there is a green line from the keyboard port (on left) to app virtual port (on right). In the app, make sure it is configured to accept events only on its virtual port and not directly from your keyboard. Which app(s) are you trying to control? Regards, Nic.
