Hi,
I am trying to use my midi keyboard like a controller. I started by changing all note events to CC (for channel 1):
N0 = B0
Then blocked all off events:
80 = XX +B
so that the CC is not re-triggered twice with each note press-release.
So the final rules are:
N0 = B0 80 = XX +B
But I get an extra event when releasing the note key, and therefore the controller cancels itself (its a switch) after releasing the note key.
Can you please help?
Thank you. George

Hi,
I've found a solution. I've used MidiVision to debug the problem. It seems the the events generated by a note key press were: one event "note on" with a velocity value greater than 0 and another one with a zero velocity value.
So I've changed the rules to: N0 = B0 B0 XX 00 = XX +B
Now it works fine.

Hi georgex, Yes, many hardware units send a note on with zero velocity as a note off equivalent. Regards, Nic.
