Hi,
I used to use in my setup channel strip to rechannel my keyboard midi channel used to another one to control Sunrizer in an specific channel. So my keyboard was sending Channel 2 and this was rechanneled to Channel 3 where Sunrizer had its midi channel input defined. Now I tried again after some time and it seems Sunrizer does not see anymore midifire as it does not react at all to this rechanneling. Do you have this app to check if this is a problem of Sunrizer or Midifire? Sunrizer has not been updated in the last 8 months but my IOS has been updated in the meantime and I fear the move to IOS 11 broke something in Sunrizer.

Hi 9alex , I have Sunrizer and I just downloaded the latest version. I can definitely select MidiFire as a MIDI input and get it to respond to remapped events via the Channel Strip but only if it is in the foreground. I have set 'background audio' in Sunrizer to 'ON' but that seems to have no effect; sounds like a bug. My device is running on iOS9 so I suspect this is a Sunrizer issue not related to iOS11, but I'm not sure. You can verify that MidiFire is doing the right thing with the channels by placing an Event Monitor after the channel strip. Regards, Nic.

Hi, I checked the event monitor and it’s correct that the remapping occurs.
Maybe I didnt get you well, did you manage to make Sunrizer react to channel strip new channel only when Sunrizer was in the foreground? Or when Midifire was in the foreground?
Thanks

Hi 9alex , Yes, I did. I setup Sunrizer as follows: - MIDI Inputs - 'MidiFire' is ticked (default) - MIDI channel changed from OMNI to 1 In MidiFire I generated a note on channel 2 and passed that through the Channel Strip to remap to channel 1 and then to 'MidiFire' output. No sound until I switch back to Sunrizer and then it sounded the note. Regards, Nic.

OK, so I connected a physical controller...
I can get SR to respond directly to the controller on whichever channel matches my controller (1 or 3 or OMNI) but everything stops once SR is backgrounded no matter what position its 'background Audio' is set to.
I cannot get SR to respond to any virtual input but I can get it to respond to the looped back network input:
- My controller set to channel 2 - In MidiFire under 'Setup/CoreMIDI' connect to localhost to create looped back network port - Connect Controller -> Channel Strip -> Network on MidiFire canvas - Configure Channel Strip to remap to 3
- In SR, select 'Session 1' as input and channel as 3
This worked.
Again, nothing works unless SR is on the foreground.
I'd say there are two problems:
- SR's background audio mode is broken - SR's virtual MIDI is broken
Regards, Nic.

I think your conclusion is right. The strange thing is that this was working in IOS 10 and SR was not updated in the last months so this must be a change with IOS 11

Hi 9alex, and to add to this confusion, my tests were done on iOS9! Regards, Nic.
