I need to send long SYSEX chains to my controller, to display names.
However, Stream Byter limit seems to be 16 Bytes. Any workaround?

Hi edsaxman , You will need to use the +F flag and send over multiple lines: SND F0 12 34 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 +F

By the way, I have found a MIDI parameter related to the FC-300 text that I dont have a clue how to use it.
I know this question probably goes beyond your support for the Stream Byter plugin for MDP I bought but I dont know many MIDI experts so maybe...
Using this table, I was able to figure out how to use the blue and the orange elements, but I still dont understand how to use the green ones.
This is how I am constructing the SYSEX chain:
F0 41 00 00 00 20 12 (common part for every SYSEX on this machine) 60 00-0F (Address "H", range 0-15, represents 16 cells (columns) on the screen, from left to right)
41 75 64 65 6F 6E 69 63 20 41 70 70 73 21 21 (up to 16 characters in hex, range: 20-7D) in this example: Audeonic Apps!! 61 (Checksum byte - Whatever) F7 - (EOX - End of SYSEX)
The entire chain would be: F0 41 00 00 00 20 12 60 00 41 75 64 65 6F 6E 69 63 20 41 70 70 73 21 21 61 F7
This works: "Audeonic Apps!!" is displayed on the screen as expected (using the "split" method +F you have suggested).

Hi edsaxman , I think those items in green are optional and if missing default to the standard user font. I think this would trigger font #2 for example: F0 41 00 00 00 20 12 60 00 01 41 75 64 65 6F 6E 69 63 20 41 70 70 73 21 21 61 F7Regards, Nic. |
