Hi all,
Has anybody been able to control via midi BlueBoard’s backlit pads in BTLE mode (mode 2)? I’d like to enable them permanently in this mode, but perhaps it’s only possible to use them in proprietary mode 1.
Cheers

Hi janosax , Can't say I have tried myself, but the convention most hardware manufacturers use is to use the same MIDI events that the button sends, to switch the lights on/off remotely. I think in mode 2, it's sending notes 3C, 3E, 40 and 41 on channel 1. You could try this little StreamByter script that will send a note on for button A and then off after 5 seconds each time you press the Install Rules button in StreamByter : IF LOAD SND 90 3C 7F SND 80 3C 00 +D5000 ENDIf you pipe that StreamByter to the BlueBoard and try sending it those events, if IK have implemented remote control of the lights as per convention, you should see it go on and then off after 5 seconds. I'd be interested to know how you get on. If it doesn't work, then you could try asking IK if it is possible to remotely turn the lights on/off in mode 2? Regards, Nic.

Hi Nic, Great job, that works perfectly Now, do you think it could be possible to toggle all 4 backlits pads on and off with only one note? For example 78 note could toggle note on/off for 3C, 3E, 40 and 41. This could be really must have feature for using this pedalboard on stage!

This allows to enable all backlits IF LOAD SND 90 3C 7F SND 90 3E 7F SND 90 40 7F SND 90 41 7F END and this allow to disable them IF LOAD SND 80 3C 00 SND 80 3E 00 SND 80 40 00 SND 80 41 00 END photos.app.goo.gl/NE2m98VUivuFK12w6That’s already just amazing, and I’m very happy :-))))))) Perhaps it’s even better that way (install rules via two Streambyters) as this avoid a bad foot gesture on stage which could disable backlits in the dark...

Hi janosax , Well, I didn't think it would work, to be honest, so that is good to know. > For example 78 note could toggle note on/off for 3C, 3E, 40 and 41.Yes, here is some code for that. Each time you press note 78 (F#4), all 4 lights will toggle between on and off: IF LOAD ASS L0 = 0 END
9X XX 00 = 8X IF M0 == 90 4E IF L0 == 0 SND 90 3C 7F SND 90 3E 7F SND 90 40 7F SND 90 41 7F END IF L0 != 0 SND 80 3C 00 SND 80 3E 00 SND 80 40 00 SND 80 41 00 END MAT L0 = L0 ^ 7F END
Regards, Nic.

That works perfectly many thanks Nic!
78 note was already in hex so I’ve just modified that and added event filtering at the end because other triggers disabled backlits.
IF LOAD ASS L0 = 0 END
9X XX 00 = 8X IF M0 == 90 78 IF L0 == 0 SND 90 3C 7F SND 90 3E 7F SND 90 40 7F SND 90 41 7F END IF L0 != 0 SND 80 3C 00 SND 80 3E 00 SND 80 40 00 SND 80 41 00 END MAT L0 = L0 ^ 7F END
# block all other events XX = XX +B
For security, I just need to disable this Streambyter module once backlits are enabled.
MidiFire rocks again, I use it everyday :-) You could add this script to your library.

Hi janosax , > 78 note was already in hexHehe. I wasn't sure - I figured it *could* already be in hex, but because it is such a high note thought it may not be what you wanted. At least you spotted my false assumption. Regards, Nic.

Yes there is some progression on my side :-)))
C8 is button A double tap + hold, I don’t use it so it’s nice for the backlits thing.
