Hello, I have been using Midi Bridge for some time, but I have changed the router, I have tried 2, but when the connections are made shortly (few seconds) the host is disconnected. The routers are not connected to the internet and the two iPad that I try to connect are in the same network. What do you think may be happening to me ?. I need to send midi data over wifi between the two iPad to launch some videos and I have no other solution. Midibridge disconnects Greetings.

Hi salfuman, It might be a firewall block on the router. You would need to ensure that the router is permitting UDP packets on port 5004 to be passed between clients. I know some security conscious (or public wifi access) routers block client to client packets. Regards, Nic.

Hello, thanks for the answer. I do not have the firewall on the routers. A question that arises to me, Is it necessary to have open some application in the host (for example Cubasis) so that the connection can be made ?. Sometimes when the application was open, MidiBridge maintained the connection. Any more ideas? Greetings.

Hi salfuman, Yes, you need at least one app on each device that has enabled CoreMIDI networking. As a test, run up MidiBridge on the second device (which will enable CoreMIDI networking) and see if that makes things work? Regards, Nic.

Hi, I have tried it and it works at first. Could it be a Cubasis problem when starting coreMidi networking ?. I think I always started Cubasis first, and I do not know why the MidiBridge was disconnected. I changed the router and did the same, sometimes connected and some did not. I think now first open MidiBridge on the iPad Host and then start Cubasis to see if that does not give problems. Thank you. Greetings Alberto
