Hi,
first great products, solved all of the issues I was having not being able to change presets when I've only got my ipad and mini controllers.
question I've got now is more about making the workflow easier by converting some cc messages to note on messages.
for example all cc1 channel1 to note d2 channel 1 for example as a either a toggle or button.
any help greatly appreciated.
thanks

Hi 10akalaz,
You could use the Stream Byter to map a CC message to a note on message and then use MidiBridge scenes (switched by program change or from the MidiBridge scenes panel) to enable/disable that function on demand.
Here is the Stream Byter rule to do the mapping as you request:
# remap cc1 to note on d1 B0 00 = 90 26
This will map the controller value to note velocity, so as you turn the controller the note will trigger louder/softer.
However, there will be no note off's being sent so that d1 will chime out forever, so to prevent that you could add a rule like:
# generate note off 1 second later 90 26 = 80 26 +C +D1000
I'm not sure this is exactly what you want. Mapping a CC to note on would be an unusual requirement. Maybe if you could elaborate a little further on what you are trying to achieve I might be able to suggest something better?
Regards, Nic.

That is fantastic thanks for the quick reply. The reason is, that after much faffing around I had managed to get nearly all of the IMPC Ipad app mapped to my LPD8, Banks 1 and 2 are the 16 pads, bank 3 has all the play, stop, record, undo, program up and down, mute and solo and bank 4, note repeat, 16 levels etc.. plus an extra play stop and erase. What I noticed is that the app appears to only receive note on commands but depending on the channel will convert them in the backend to controller commands. So whilst using two buttons to scroll up and down works, if I could dial a know to scroll through the patterns, that would be great! This means, I should be able to map things like the bank up and bank down to the rotary knobs, just need to see if I can make it fire for example D2 every small turn (have to work on the sensitivity) and try to send a different note on on the turn down, this way I could actually just twist a know to change program. (its completely superfluous to my needs to be honest, but since frustration with the Akai app, led me to figure out their loony mapping i thought, might be nice to twist a dial.

hi nic!
i would also like to transform CC into midi note, but in this case, i would like to set a rule that detects when the CC is under 10 for instance, or above 115, then it triggers midi note, is this possible?
CC7 less than 10 = Note On C4
thanks a lot.
