Hello, Long time since I've been here, and I see a new MidiFire app, witch is cool I'd like to know if there's a way to transform a midi message to launch an other app now ? In fact it would be more like an url. My case would be like : 1-An iPad launch a midi message thru bletooth (processed with MidiFire or not) 2-An other ipad receive this signal into MidiFire, then this signal launch the reload of a webpage, or an app, or maybe a kill signal to an app, then relaunch the app... This is a very specific case not related to music but I remember that MidiBridge could launch an app, or maybe translate a midi message to something else...Have I dreamed that ?...(might be also ) Thanks for your help !

Hi crony , In theory, an app could receive MIDI events from Bluetooth and launch Safari with a specific URL, but it would be a one-shot affair as once Safari was loaded and showing the site I don't think the app could then try and launch again in the background to change the URL. So, the app would need to be able to display a webpage and remain in the foreground. MidiFire doesn't know about loading URLs from MIDI, and I am not aware of any other app that would do this. However, this would not be a very difficult app to develop. It just needs a view with a web browser and the ability to specify URL/MIDI message mapping. I'm not suggesting that I go away and develop this BTW, just that it would be quite simple to develop. :-) Regards, Nic.

Thanks Nic for your suggestions ! In fact it would be launching the same url, so might do a reload of the webpage in this case... I might try to develop that...
