Good evening! I am wondering if anyone can provide feedback on using MidiBridge with Retronyms TableTop? I am specifically wondering about connecting TableTop Mastermind to a Windows VST via rtpMIDI, and wondered if MidiBridge might help. Sorry if I am flailing a bit!
Thanks for your time!

Hi djpeterso23662,
My understanding of TableTop's CoreMIDI implementation is that it currently only has the capability of reading MIDI input from devices only. I think this means it does not read from wifi or virtual ports, but that may be incorrect.
In any case, it doesn't seem that it has any ability to send MIDI outside of the TableTop environment. Probably what would be needed is a TableTop 'MidiBridge' app that will accept MIDI from other TableTop apps and push those events to a CoreMIDI output. I'm not sure whether retronyms opens up TableTop development to third party developers. If they do, it wouldn't be too hard for a developer to write such a bridge and if they don't, by the same token it wouldn't be difficult for retronyms to add this. My suggestion would be to contact retronyms and ask them to consider adding this themselves or farming out the development to an (ahem) suitable developer who may have experience in writing apps that bridge proprietary MIDI systems into CoreMIDI. ;-)
Regards, Nic.
