Hi all, I have improved my previous script and now you have four functions per pedal. You can see the video tutorial here: youtu.be/1s6jTgoEFqEIn a nut shell this is what it does: 1. MIDI LEARN Any MIDI CC on any channel received at the input is learned by the pedal in just two taps. 2. AUTOCONFIG You can assign any MIDI CC on any channel manually with just two taps. That means, you have the 2048 MIDI CCs at your disposal 3. INVERTER The pedal sends the values in reverse order. Nothing fancy here but useful sometimes. 4. STEPPER You can send up to 8 different values of your choice. The steps can be recorded in any particular order. It also allows you to send these steps starting from 0 and in consecutive order (0, 1, 2...). Useful for controlling some parameters on some devices. In this video I am using the iRig BlueBoard because is tiny, wireless and allows me to plug not only one but two expression pedals which is really cool, but you can use the script with any other MIDI device that is able to handle one or two expression pedals and send the notes: C3, D3, E3 and F3 on channel 1. The pedals must be setup to MIDI CC 12 and 13 on channel 1 too. You can download the MidiFire Scene file here: www.dropbox.com/s/zxmtz56h40v44su/Scene-BlueBoard%20Pedals%20v4.zip?dl=0Enjoy!

Hi valasco , Oh Wow! I don't think I have seen anything as sophisticated using MidiFire. That's some StreamByter coding you have done. Seriously blown away. Thank you for sharing the scene and making that video. Regards, Nic.

Hi Nic,
Thank you so much for your kind words.
This morning I woke up seeing my video at discchord.com and I thought, I hope my sloppy tutorial can help other people to discover MidiFire/StreamByter and they can be enjoy the endless possibilities that your apps offer in terms of routing and MIDI message manipulation. If my video could do that I would be extremely happy.
I would like to pointed up two things:
1. As I said before I am not a programmer at all. The 95% of my code are basic stuff like dealing with local and global variables and a plenty amount of conditionals, but nothing more complicated than that. So, I would like to encourage other people to read the manual and the University section on this forum a couple of times like I did on my daily travels by bus and you will be able to do things like I did in no time. Believe me.
2. I am a Windows user. Nobody's perfect. Of course, I used my iPad for doing this tutorial but what I did too was buying a second hand iPhone 4S on eBay for 30 euros that allowed me to connect any Bluetooth MIDI device and insert MidiFire/StreamByter into my MIDI chain to enjoy a new world of possibilities. It's probably the cheaper solution for Windows users like me.
Just my two cents ;-)
Alex
