Hi
I’m using midi fire to convert cc messages to remote control band helpers midi clock start stop function
This is good for selecting songs in band helper so the tempo assigned to each song is pre-programmed
The issue I have isI would like to manually tap tempo midi clock sometimes to put my looping pedal and guitar delays in time.
Is there a way to do this in midi fire ? If so what is the best most reliable way to set it up
Thankyou
Clayton

Hi klay2000, You can do this if Band Helper has a tap tempo via MIDI feature. You will need to remap the MIDI message of the thing that you want to use to do the tapping to what Band Helper expects (if it has that ability). Probably a question for Band Helper. Regards, Nic.

Hi Nic
At this time band helper does not have a manual tap tempo feature (They are currently working on one)
I plan on trying to do the manual tap tempo within midi fire if that is possible
I have never tried before but from what I can see do I need to create a dynamic clock module and assign a midi cc message to the tap function?
In the past I have used midi Clock start and stop messages from midifire so this shouldn’t be an issue.
What I’m wondering about , is there a way to tap tempo while midi clock is running/playing and then the clock messages will change tempo according to what’s being tapped? Or does midi clock have to be stopped to tap in a new tempo?
Thanks

Hi klay2000 , MidiFire has tap tempo (can be controlled remotely by MIDI message of your choice and also adjusted while running) for its own clock (Dynamic Clock) but you then need to be able to slave everything else to that master clock. If you need Band Helper to sync to that then that be an issue - it may not support slaving to remote clock? Regards, Nic.
