You can do this if Band Helper has a tap tempo via MIDI feature. You will need to remap the MIDI message of the thing that you want to use to do the tapping to what Band Helper expects (if it has that ability).
At this time band helper does not have a manual tap tempo feature (They are currently working on one)
I plan on trying to do the manual tap tempo within midi fire if that is possible
I have never tried before but from what I can see do I need to create a dynamic clock module and assign a midi cc message to the tap function?
In the past I have used midi Clock start and stop messages from midifire so this shouldn’t be an issue.
What I’m wondering about , is there a way to tap tempo while midi clock is running/playing and then the clock messages will change tempo according to what’s being tapped? Or does midi clock have to be stopped to tap in a new tempo?
MidiFire has tap tempo (can be controlled remotely by MIDI message of your choice and also adjusted while running) for its own clock (Dynamic Clock) but you then need to be able to slave everything else to that master clock. If you need Band Helper to sync to that then that be an issue - it may not support slaving to remote clock?
