Hi! I was wondering if when writing StreamByter scripts I shiould worry about running status when processing incoming MIDI messages. Can it be assumed that for each message to be processed, the status byte will always be explicitly there? In other words, according to the MIDI standard (if I understand it correctly) the sequence of hex bytes 90 3C 70 3F 70 really means 90 3C 70 90 3F 70, because the note-on status byte is implicitly assumed until a new status byte arrives. If that sequence is sent to Streambyter, will I see it in tis raw form (90 3C 70 3F 70), or as two consecutive note-on messages, 90 3C 70 and 90 3F 70? Thanks.

Answering my own question, I think there's no need to worry about this. I would like someone to confirm, however.
