I would like to use the MidiFire Dynamic Clock (DC) to output a CC message as a timer for various applications in MidiDesigner Pro. I want to start and stop DC with a SysEx message from MDP. I also would like to control the rate with a Slider. I am confused about the parameters: "tempo" values such as 60.00, 120.00, etc. Tempo does not generate beats per minute directly. "Tap Tempo" and other related parameters. What exactly does the B0 3F 7F parameter do? How can I control the 'tempo' value with a midi from MDP?
I am able to start and stop the DC using a Sysex input from a toggle button and the following StreamByter code at the DC Input. IF M0 == F0 58 11 7F SND FA #start DC Block Exit END
IF M0 == F0 58 11 00 SND FC #stop DC Block END
When started it generates a sequence of 'F8' messages that varies with the tempo value. But I don't see the relationship to the "beats per minute" output and the timing between the F8 messages. Is there a secret decoder ring required?
