I'm saving files to iCloud but I cannot see them in iCloud Drive or elsewhere in iCloud that they are backed up. So far I've looked in iCloud Files on Mac and iOS as well as ICloud for the web.
Can I edit the files remotely with my editor of choice.
I also want to make sure the files are stored remotely and make backups of them outaide of iCloud.
I also saved a file locally and did not find that on iOS.
What am I doing wrong?
P.S. Amazing app.

If I install streambyter on another iPad or MacBook will it see the same iCloud files?
Is there a reason why I can't point streambyter to a file on my iCloud Drive that I create outside of the app and have the app use that ... repeatedly?
I'm looking for an easy way to edit a streambyter file in the editor of my choice (on the iPad or preferably on a MacBook).

Is the way the designer made it. I think the design came from the early days of iCloud drive and the old sandbox mentality, when apps could only see their own files, and you had to use
And before you submit an upgrade suggestion - there is no active development on SB anymore - just a few of us trying to keep it relevant until it ages out.

SOLVED! So much easier to edit a large file on a laptop with keyboard and have that sync back to the iPad than fighting the iPad editor that makes it hard to position the cursor, select text, scroll to the bottom, etc.
The StreamByter iCloud files are accessible on a Mac at "~/Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~com~audeonic~streambyter/Documents" (or "/Users/YOUR__USERNAME/Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~com~audeonic~streambyter/Documents"). MacOS makes it very hard to find/open these files in most applications or in the finder. Also, since this path has a space character, you often need to wrap this in quotes when you use it.
Heres one way to edit the file: - Open the Terminal app and type the following: open "~/Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~com~audeonic~streambyter/Documents" - Right click (control click) a file in the finder, and select "open with" and choose TextEdit.
If you are more advanced, there are many other ways to open/edit these files (emacs, vi, in the terminal use "open -e <filename>", etc.)
Ugly Detail: MacOS hides this location in the Finder and in the Open dialog box in most apps. There used to be a way to unhide this, but I have not been able to make this work on the latest version of MacOS. I think Apple "fixed" this for us.
Can we add a topic on this to the University subforum called "How to edit files remotely or in the editor of your choice?" I think it's useful technique that advanced users will benefit from ... and the solution is not obvious/tricky.

That works to access the files Macs, but not iPads.
My workflow is to use the Notes app for editing, which makes the code easily accessible on all Mac platforms, as well for MIDI Fire, which doesn't save to iCloud.

I just noticed that the AUv3 on iOS can no longer load the scripts listed in the iCloud popup though the standalone app can.
This used to work for me.
I wonder if something in a recent OS update resulted in the problem.
Is there any chance that Nic or someone might look into this? Or any of the outstanding bugs?
