"I will admit I know very little about MIDI but when I purchased an Alesis DM6 USB drum kit i knew I could use it through garageband. The problem was that the floor tom would not register in garageband. After scouring the internet I stumbled upon a fix was to use MIDI Bridge to get the floor tom to register. I downloaded the app and spent the next couple of hours getting nowhere. As a last resort I emailed the delveoper about my problem and to my astonishment he emailed back a few hours later offering to help. After getting him the info he needed he wrote the code to put into MIDI Bridge and voila the floor tom was registering. Thanks to Nic and the great support for getting my drums to work."
Please help! I am experiencing exactly the same problem that this person had!

OK, I dug up the email I sent that person! Here are the instructions I sent that worked:
1. Start up MidiBridge. The only connection you should have (ie a green line between them) is from the 'e-drum' port on left to 'MidiBridge' on right on the main Interfaces panel. Remove any other connections. 2. Now touch the beaker icon on the 'e-drum' port on the left (input) and then touch the accessory arrow on the 'Stream Byter' module. Press the 'On' button. 3. Paste the following 3 lines into the text window: # DM6/GB floortom N9 2B = XA 29 N9 = XX +B 4. Press 'Install Rules' and then Done and Done and you can press the home button to send MidiBridge to the background.
Regards, Nic.
