It's not an app question, but more of question/ solution for the LACK of the ability to recharge my device whilst using the mm2.
I have used the googles scouring the internets with hopes someone has come up with a solution. I can charge and use when just using wifi of course, but in my studio I have needs to use midibridge hard wired as well. So this is more of a call out for suggestions. Skip iRig, that's the obvious and perhaps only good one. DIY solution??
Thanks in advance for the communities help/thoughts.

I imagine that someone smarter than me could probably disassemble one of those 30 pin extension cables (with 17 pins connected) and fish out the pins that charge (probably just the two?) and connect to a USB A female. ie. split between MMZ and charge. As you say the iRig does it, so it is possible, I suspect.
Other solution would be a dock type interface like Alesis IO Dock, Behringer iStudio, Griffin, FocusRite iTrack Dock. I think the iConnectivity (+2/+4) will also charge but via their wall-wart.
Regards, Nic.

thanks nic, UN-fortunately, that didn't work. I did get the extension cable, discovered the pin layout where the USB +5v needed to be connected blahblahblah...
The problem is in the way MM2 needs power. It gets it FROM the device. So, my hacked cable (usb power, with 30 pin ext connected) either would recharge my device, or the MM2 would work -- but not both at the same time. grrr I even contacted a company that produced power-need gadgetry for mobile devices, and they confirmed the information.
I know what I need to do and will asap. I did look at the other options and for my needs iRig looks perfect (it gets power from the wall, and that in turns recharges the device as it is used - its charge needs are passive regarding the device) plus, the cost is where I want to spend. best, gary
