Hi toneblair1, If the launchkey is connected into the USB port of the iTrack them SampleTank will recognise events from the launchkey 'right out of the box' Please let me know a bit about how you want to use MidiBridge with this. If you want to remap sliders/knobs on the launchkey to something SampleTank expects then you need to know the controller numbers the launchkey sends and the controller numbers SampleTank responds to. If you can tell me what you would like to do then I can give you a step by step recipe. Regards, Nic.

Hey Nic, i actually figured it out. I went out of the itrack dock, it was actually flashing when i was playing the launch key, so i kinda figure id start there. So i went out of the dock into sampletank l. I found the midi controls messages in the manual and just mapped them according to the controllers sampletank uses. So basically all the knobs are setup just like in sample tank, and i use the faders for cutoff, res, verb amount, attack, release. I know there are other functions, but that works for me. I wanted to set up the pads to play notes, but i couldnt figure that out for some reason, but i found another thread that uses the pads to change the presets, which is actually better, but i would like to know how to assign the pads to play notes, so if you could help with that, that would be great!

Hi toneblair1, We'll need to find out what events the pads are sending and then we can remap. Please download free midiwrench app and with the launchkey connected tap the pads you want to be able to convert to notes and note down the event details. Post those details back here and I can tell you how to remap notes. Regards, Nic.

Hi toneblair1, Right, according to that the novation is already sending notes when you press the pads but they are on channel 10 (drum sounds). I'm not sure what order you pressed them in (top row L-R then bottom row L-R?) but it will be easy to remap the note and channel to whatever you want. So, the next question is what sound generator do you want to drive with the pads and what sounds/notes do you want assigned to those pads? I can give you a general guide as to how to do this now (see below), but if you have specifics then I can cater for those and give you the exact incantations. By way of example, lets remap the first pad you tapped to middle C on MIDI channel 1 feeding into SampleTank You would use the 'Stream Byter' module in MidiBridge. Tap the 'beaker' icon on the top left iTrack port (the one that flashes) and then press the (i) button to open the Stream Byter. Press 'On to enable and paste the following into the edit box: # remap L49 pads N9 28 = X0 3C # pad 1 to middle C, CH1Press 'Install Rules' and then 'Done' and 'Done' again. Now create a route in MidiBridge from the iTrack port you just worked with to the 'MidiBridge' port on the right: Touch iTrack port (left) so it goes green, touch MidiBridge port (right) and green line will appear, touch iTrack port (left) again to deselect route mode. Switch over to SampleTank and load up something into part A and when you press the pad, middle C should sound. Regards, Nic.
