Whenever I have knobs, I need encoders. Whenever I have encoders, I need knobs. What I'd like to do is convert the relative CCs that my controller sends out into absolute CCs that my synth apps understand. The only difference between this sort of conversion (MidiBridge intercepts the relative CC, increments or decrements the associated variable, and passes it along as an absolute CC) and setting the MIDI controller, itself, to output absolute values, is that the MIDI controller's absolute values are lost when I switch back and forth between presets, which reassign the knobs. It'd be nice to be able to switch back and forth between presets and have a persistent, absolute value for each CC that can be incremented and sent whenever the controller sends a relative change.
Does anyone know of any software on the iPad that can handle this? I wish that more synth apps would just accept relative CC...
Thank you, and have a nice day!

After doing some more research after making this post, I believe that this conversion is possible in both MidiFlow and Charlie Roberts' "Control." The former provides very nice GUI access to a CC value "incrementer," which I believe would do what I need. "Control" features deep scripting through JavaScript but no GUI. I think that I'll write a Control script to handle this conversion, for now. [EDIT] I wrote my Control script only to find out that the app, which hasn't been updated in nearly five years, was broken by an iOS update and can't use custom scripts, any more. T_T Next stop, MidiFlow.
