I try to Sync DM1 with my external Hardware (via CCK Midi Interface). DM1 will start, but not in Sync. So i googled and found Midibus. Midibus is present in den DM1 Settings and i can choose "tempo" but DM1 wont start if i start Midibus … Can someone help me? Thanks!
DM1 was always troublesome in that its own virtual input was non functional and you needed to configure it to use the MidiBus virtual port in SONG/MIDI and select as a TEMPO source.
I just downloaded the very latest DM1 and it seems that its entire MIDI system is now broken completely. I tried turning MIDI on and off, refreshing, restarting and nothing will make it scan the MIDI ports in the system. The list of ins and outs remains blank.
jan - Actually, I managed to get it to work. DM1 doesn't seem to scan MIDI on startup but will recognise a new MIDI port if another app starts, so I was able to make this function as follows:
- Terminate DM1 and MidiBus using the double-tap on home and swipe up - Start DM1, go to SONG/MIDI and ensure MIDI ON is highlighted (press 'MIDI OFF' if you see it, top left) - Now start MidiBus and ensure that only the MidiBus Destination is selected - Switch back to DM1 and back to SONG/MIDI. You should now see MidiBus as an input and output - Touch the TEMPO button in the left list (DM1 RECEIVES MIDI FROM:) and it should highlight - MidiBus will now control DM1
Thank you very much. It works … but … DM1 still have this hugh latency … i started via Midibus DM1 and Elastic Drums simultaneously and the 1,2,3,4 hits of DM1 are perfect between the 1,2,3,4 hits of the Eleastic Drums …
So i guess DM1 is complete unusable in a synced eviroment. Only good for makeing Drumloops and import it to an DAW.
