Hi, I'm want to be able to have my Fishman Triple Play send out midi info for alternate tunings. I have the Fishman set on mono mode so each string has its own midi channel but note sure on which module I would use to transpose individual strings.

Hi wespac, It's a bit tricky to apply a different transpose on 6 separate channels. None of the modules were designed to do this. The only way I can think of doing this is via the Stream Byter but that requires writing 6 x 24 rules; you have to transpose each note for each string/channel individually. It would be possible to write a perl/python script to generate the 6 sets of rules and paste them in, but it's a bit of a workaround really. Regards, Nic. |
