Hi,
I'm trying to set up midi bridge to control timing and sync between beatmaker 2 and auria, with bm2 as music source and auria to record. I also have audiobus connecting those apps. With midi settings at defaults on bm2 and auria (but no midi bridge yet), I can control bm2 with auria, but the sync is off and my beats eventually get off time.
In trying to troubleshoot the timing issue, I realized midi is involved (I think) and I know zero about configuring midi. So I thought I could use midi bridge to sync them and midi bus to provide the master clock for everyone. I've tried several iterations on midi bridge and did some searches, but I can't get it to work nor can I find any clues online.
I can see midi bus activity on the midi bridge interfaces when I have that option enabled, and I can see midi bus sending timing data from that program out. But I lose the ability to control bm2 using auria controls (in-app or audiobus), and of course, I have know way to tell if any of my devices are acknowledging the timing messages from midi bus. I also don't know how the Core midi net in/out interfaces fit in to this, if at all.
Anyone esle have a similar setup or know what the heck they're doing and can offer some advice?
Thanks!

Hi rockgod, With the latest versions of both BM2 and Auria you don't need anything extra to sync them together. I did find that under iOS7, BM2 would mute Auria's output, but under iOS8 it worked fine. Although there is a thread on Auria's discussion forum I found I didn't need to do anything at all to start the two together. I just installed both apps and hit the transport in Auria and BM2 responded. I didn't have a long project so maybe the sync drifted. However, if you ensure that BM2 is receiving clock from Auria (and that Auria is sending it) then as long as BM2's clock slave code is up to scratch then it should be fine. Neither MidiBridge nor MidiBus are really needed here. Regards, Nic.
