Hi fitz, I think I am dealing with 2 sets of assignments. These look different from jakersjaw's midiwrench findings yet the behaviour you are seeing sort of tallies that your kbd is set up as above. I will make a new copy of the LHS rules based on the above and see how you go with that. I am away with 3(!) kids for the next couple of days (mine range from 17 to 10, so a little older than yours - personally I found the 2nd hardest maybe because they were only 2.5 years apart) so I may not get back on to this until Tuesday. I'll see how I get on. Regards, Nic.

Hi Nic, It might be good to also provide a set of cc's that are being sent. It wouldn't take very long to edit the keyboard to create an 'Auria' preset. Thanks

nic. There is a 'mixer', 'instrument' and a preset button. And the mixer and instrument provides different cc's. Mine is from the mixer "preset". Maybe that explains the difference. I have "only" 2 kids. 3.5 and 1.5. And those are a handful to. So I can totally relate

Hey Nic and jakersjaw, I'm happy to use mixer preset. The best thing about either mixer or instrument is that they can't be edited, so if you stipulate that preset you'll only need to do one set of code, which I imagine is a good things! My 2 youngest have a similar age difference - 4 and 2, and I suspect that this is more relevant than 3 kids!

Hi jakersjaw and fitz, OK, let's go with the mixer preset and start with the basics; just transport, fader and mute (no scenes or anything). Once we have the LX cc's mapped correctly the rest should be easier. For reference here are the CC's that the RHS (HuiBox) reacts to (all in decimal, channels 1-16, controllers 0-127): Action Name | Channel | Controller | Rewind << | 16 | 65 (switch) | Forward >> | 16 | 66 (switch) | Stop [ ] | 16 | 67 (switch) | Play > | 16 | 68 (switch) | Record O | 16 | 69 (switch) | Group Left | 16 | 70 (switch) | Group Right | 16 | 71 (switch) | Faders 1-8 | 16 | 0-7 (continuous) | Mute 1-8 | 15 | 0-7 (continuous) | Solo 1-8 | 14 | 0-7 (continuous) | Track Rec 1-8 | 13 | 0-7 (continuous) |
Let's now map the mixer preset for transport, faders and mute - I am using the manual as reference for this. The manual doesn't list the transport buttons, but I think we have those going, so I will use those that we got before. # Impact LX61 'mixer' preset # remap to HuiBox
# transport BF 67 = BF 41 # << BF 68 = BF 42 # >> BF 69 = BF 43 # [] BF 6A = BF 44 # > BF 6B = BF 45 # O
# faders 1-8 BF 0C = BF 00 BF 0D = BF 01 BF 0E = BF 02 BF 0F = BF 03 BF 10 = BF 04 BF 11 = BF 05 BF 12 = BF 06 BF 13 = BF 07
# buttons 1-8 (mute) BF 15 = BE 00 BF 16 = BE 01 BF 17 = BE 02 BF 18 = BE 03 BF 19 = BE 04 BF 1A = BE 05 BF 1B = BE 06 BF 1C = BE 07
Paste the above in and save to the 'main' scene, check the LX is in the 'mixer' preset and see if Auria responds to transport, mute and faders. Once we have that going we'll try adding shift for solo. Regards, Nic.

Just did a quick test, and transport controls works impeccable. But mute and faders does not respond. Did a full reinstall of midibridge and did the streambyte thing for the midibridge output (on the right) And the new rules on the left. So transport controls is perfect now. Double tapping on rewind goes to start of track as it should.

Hi jakersjaw, OK, we have transport buttons sorted. That is great. They appear to be mapped the same no matter what preset is selected I think. I wonder whether the manual is plain wrong with it's table of MIDI CC's in User preset 2 - GM mixer mode, or maybe that is not the same mixer mode as the 'mixer' button. If you have time/inclination, could you run up midiwrench (will this be the final time?), confirm the impact is in 'mixer mode' and get the channel+CC of all 9 faders and buttons. I will compare what results you get against the manual and see if I can understand what is going on. Once we work out what the definitive set of CC's are for the one specific mode, we should be able to nail this. Regards, Nic.

No chance to test at the moment but mixer mode is definitely different from preset 2, GM mixer. Preset 2 can be edited so it might be better for us to let you know these cc's at some point given they're not listed in the manual.

I'm gonna give you the cc's in a couple of hours. When the kids are asleep.

Hi jakersjaw, OK, I have updated the last ruleset according to the above. In theory as well as transport, pasting this into main will give you 8 faders and 8 mutes. Let me know! Regards, Nic.

Great. Going to test it tonight. (In about 13 hours). This time difference is surely slowing things down

Hi jakersjaw and fitz, Actually without giving anything personal away (I can figure out roughly where people are located from IP addresses that I can see as admin), all 3 of us are in roughly the same time zone (I'm in Ireland), Each of us has to drop in and out of the conversation as our 'real life' commitments come and go. The biggest holdup is I don't have an Impact LX! :-) I'm quietly confident that that last set of rules will be OK and we'll be able to add shift-solo and hold-rec without too much trouble. I'm half thinking about writing a separate app to convert HUI to/from CC's (including pan) and maybe a Midi Designer HUI template (bi-directional) to go with it. This is why I am persevering with this; as well as wanting to get it to work for you too, of course. Regards, Nic.
