Hi everyone I'm trying to use my blue board to turn on/off the live button in midimorphosis, I know I need to convert CC to midi note I just don't know how to go about it the proper way, thank you for your time.

Hi lotone, Yes, it can be done easily enough with the Stream Byter, Midimorphosis has a 'learn' function for the buttons, so we can select any note we like and 'teach' it to alter the 'Live' (and other functions) control with the note we choose. I will just use note 0. Here are the rules you need (assuming BlueBoard is in controller mode and with default controller values): # lotone BB/morphosis X1-F = XX +B B0 00 7F = 90 00 7F B0 00 00 = 80 00 00
Paste the above rules into the Stream Byter (remember to press 'Install Rules' button!) on the BlueBoard port (on left) and route that port to Midimorphosis (on right). Switch to Midimorphosis, select 'MIDI' and tap the '55 G-1' text field under the 'Live' label. Press button A on the BlueBoard and it should recognise that and assign it to the Live function. Button A should now (hopefully) toggle between Live and not Live each time you press it. Regards, Nic.

Hi lotone, Seems like MIDImorphosis toggles too. I thought it would switch on note on and off on note off. No matter. Try adjusting the rules as such: # lotone BB/morphosis X1-F = XX +B B0 00 = 90 00 7F
I think that should work. Regards, Nic.

Hi lotone, I just tried this out with BlueBoard and MIDImorphosis and it toggles each time I press the button. Did you maybe forget to either remove the old rules or press that 'Install Rules' button? Regards, Nic.

I deleted the old one for sure, I even reinstalled the app and it still does the same thing, blue board is Control Change mode, I don't know if that makes a difference or not, or maybe I have a older blue board idk. Maybe there are settings I don't see at the moment, ether way it works if I have to double tap it so be it, thank you.

Hi lotone, Mine was in controller mode also. It's odd as I can understand how the old rules would have resulted in requiring a double press. The new rules definitely did the job for me. Doubt it is to do with an older BlueBoard; mine was purchased very soon after release. If you want to get to the bottom of this you could hook up the midiwrench app and see what is being sent. You should see just a note on event each time you press the button and nothing else. Regards, Nic.
