I can define a reason for my use, but I believe/hope it becomes self evident. If not of course, I will flush the needs out for you Nic.
First off, this is a fantastic tool, app and is integrated into my project studio configuration. I am now using MUSICIO midi with the syn-cable capabilities, I welded my ipad to my desk.
I believe I requested this before or it was in pass postings from me and its time to talk about this again. (LoL I see its been about a year ago. Hey Nic, I'm baaack!)
I need a way to 'remotely modify' the HEX information within a Stream Byter filter. This would be awesomely cool. In a simple example, setting up zones. I want to change a zone spread, or zone channel assignments. The only way as far as I know is to stop work, go into editor etc. OR have multiple sets of various scenes... well you can see that is just silly with all the possibilities not to mention cumbersome lets-make-a-typo.
Why not give us a way, or for some of us who like to program a bit, access to those values to be able to change them in a daughter app / or other controlling apps via MIDI values etc. What I am asking for are vars instead of non-dynamic values and a means to send the vars the variable information. I would be happy to test this feature. I enjoy beta testing
Also, as I am sure many have suggested, the editor is a challenge to input values. Mistakes can be made (guilty) and non-working filters are created with head-scratching this should be working time waste. I guess this is a side-request, but I use the app on my iphone, check things out, then implement on my ipad. As far as I can see, I have to re-program the filter. Not a lot of fun and again, mistakes are made - guilty! Is there away to 'share' said filter? Copy from one device to another if you have the means? Sys file name?
