Hi
godoy68,
OK, here is how I would set things up:
- First, save your Note Mapper configuration that inverts the notes to a preset that we can re-use on other ports. Use the little white triangle at the top to expand the preset view and press the 'Save' button and give it a name.
- Now, we're going to create another preset for the Stream Byter module to clone the original notes. Open up the Stream Byter on any port and press 'On' to enable and paste the following into the edit box:
NX = XX +C- Press 'Install Rules' and use the preset panel to save this as a preset as well.
- Run up all 3 of your sound apps so that each shows up in MidiBridge - I think each of the apps you mention have their own virtual ports. Make sure that each of the apps
is not configured to listen to the CP33 MIDI port- If your note mapper 'inverter' is currently enabled on any port (probably the CP33 MIDI port on left), then
bypass it as we will no longer be doing the remapping anywhere except on output. (This is important).
- Now, for each of the sound generators' output ports listed on the right hand side in MidiBridge, open both the Note Mapper and Stream Byter and load your two saved presets into each and enable them (press 'On'). In this mode, each output will receive both the inverted notes and the original notes. You do this for each app, so 3 x Note mappers and 3 x Stream Byters
- Connect the CP33 controller (on left) in MidiBridge to each of the apps' virtual MIDI port on the right, so that there are 3 green lines coming from the CP33 to each app. You should not need any other connections.
Now, if you play the CP33 all 3 apps should play both the inverted notes and the original notes. Try removing the 3 CP33 -> app connections one at a time and make sure that each app stops sounding completely (until no sounds are heard when there are no connections). Once you have that going, then you can start creating scenes for each setup you like:
- Make the connections from CP33 to the apps you want to sound for this scene
- on each of those apps' output port (on right where we have configured Note Mapper and Stream Byter modules) set the on/bypass state of each as follows:
Note Mapper OFF + Stream Byter OFF = original notes only (your option 'a')
Note Mapper ON + Stream Byter OFF = inverted notes only (your option 'b')
Note Mapper ON + Stream Byter ON = inverted+original notes (your option 'c')
When you have the apps connected and configured how you want then save as a scene by opening the scene panel and holding down on an empty (or already used) scene until it asks you for a name to save. You can now re-load that scene and all will be as you left it. Make more scenes for different setups as you like and you can switch between the various scenes using the MidiBridge UI.
If you want to change scene via MIDI, them in MidiBridge's Preferences>Options set 'Scene Channel' to the MIDI channel of the CP33 and if the CP33 can send MIDI program changes then the scenes will be loaded as you send program changes.
Hope that helps!
Regards, Nic.
