it is great to have the stream byter to remap on the fly a physical controller to different task by scene changer remapping (es 8 knobs to 4 midi ch by 4 scene triggering). However i miss the chance to be able to trigger different mappings with a parallel logic (be able to channelize knobs and a keybed indipendently one of eachother ). I use to have several midi hardware controllers and i wish to be able to setup some layers for each of them. IAny workaround for my need ? regards

Hi rozzilla , If each controller is on a separate MIDI port, then you can apply a Stream Byter to each. If the controllers are connected via the one MIDI interface you should still be able to setup separate mappings for each assuming each controller is on a separate MIDI channel. You just need to specify the correct channel in your mapping rules. For example: Instead of: BX 07 = XX 08 # map CC7 to 8 on all channelsYou would make a channel specific version like this: B3 07 = XX 08 # map cc7 to 8 on channel 4I am working on a new app to succeed MidiBridge. This app will let you setup parallel or series Stream Byters. It's probably a couple of months before this is released. When released, I will bundle it with MidiBridge so existing customers can upgrade to the new app for a discount. Regards, Nic.

thank you once more for your assistance nic. As you probably already imagine my wish is more complex than this example and its solution. i ll try to sketch it better. I have a keybed on ch1, a knob on ch2 they both feed and multitimbral expander
#keybed layer A N0 XX = N0 XX
#keybed layer B N0 XX = N1 XX
#knob layer A B1 07 = B0 07
#knob layer B B1 07 = B1 07
I can assign a midibridge scene with each one of these layer loaded on a somewhere stream byter (4 scenes). But how if i need to (quikly ) ruote keys to ch2 and AT SAME TIME knob to ch1. ok i could do it by permutating and aggregating programs like scene 1 (key A knob A) N0 XX = N0 XX B1 07 = B0 07 scene 2 (key A knob B) N0 XX = N0 XX B1 07 = B1 07 scene 3 (Key B knob A) scene 4 (Key B knob B)
leaving this simple example this method is not viable. I was used to do the same on lovely MIDIOX with more instances opened, each other with its own mapping patches and receiving channel to trigger them. Any chance to be able to do the same on your next release ? regards

would be great if it is possible to develop a device with a its own midi ports that can host stream byter maps wich can be triggered by PC messages on its own exclusive channel then loopback stuff

Hi rozzilla , OK, I understand. The new app will allow you to run as many Stream Byters as you want or you can modify the logic dynamically via MIDI message. I can't think of a neat way of doing what you need without permutating the combinations. Regards, Nic. PS. Hardware would be nice but very costly to develop!
