I have an ACPAD diagram attached, whose pads send specific midi-notes. Great for live looping drums but I want to be able to live loop bass sounds as well. I am told that I can only do this using midibridge. I have everything talking and have used note mapper to map the ACPAD pads to specific notes in Sampletank but the problem is that Sampletank receives TWO notes, the original note from ACPAD and the mapped Midibridge note. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hi nrprioleau, If you are hearing both the original note and the mapped note in SampleTank then what is happening is that SampleTank is listening to *both* your MIDI controller *and* MidiBridge. I assume your controller is on MIDI channel 1. With SampleTank, the only way to solve this is by remapping the channel as well as the note. It's been a while since I used SampleTank, but this is what I would suggest: - Place the sound you want to control in SampleTank's 'Part B' which I think is on MIDI channel 2. - Remove the sound from part A - In MidiBridge, touch the 'beaker' on the port on left that represents your controller (probably where you are remapping notes) - Touch the '(i)' on the 'Note Splitter' module and press 'On' to enable it - Change 'Split Point' to 0 and Upper Split to 2 (remaps notes to channel 2) (Of course, you could just change the channel of part A to say 5 and remap to 5) Regards, Nic.

Thanks for the info Nic, Would you know the process for midiflow? I have tried the above with midibridge and still receiving two sounds into sampletank. Cheers Nic

Hi nrprioleau , I'm not familiar with midiflow but I believe you will have exactly the same problem. SampleTank is reacting to the notes from your controller directly and this is the link you have to break for remapping to work with SampleTank. To verify this, double tap on the home button and terminate MidiBridge (or midiflow for that matter). When you play your controller does SampleTank still react and generate sound? If it does, then you need to change the MIDI channel on the SampleTank 'part' you have the sound loaded in. It must be different from your controller (also, it must not be OMNI if this is an option). You then map to this channel in MidiBridge as described above. However, if after terminating MidiBridge you *don't* get any sound from SampleTank when playing the controller then you probably have extra routing setup. In this case, post a screenshot of the main MidiBridge page and I will have a look. Regards, Nic.
