I have just pushed out a new update to MidiFire (macOS and iOS) that fixes *loads* of bugs and adds a few new features:
New Features: - ‘clear canvas’ and ‘zoom to fit’ controls (bottom right) - ‘Remote Control’ panel - assign MIDI events to UI controls - MIDI Ports - ability to assign custom names - Active Sensing messages ignored by default (configurable in Setup) - CoreMIDI Networking support; initiate wifi (rtpMIDI) to other devices or computers (iOS) - Context sensitive help from all panels - Dynamic Clock: auto-start clock on nth beat while learning tempo - Event Monitor: displays event timestamps, optional clear block display - Stream Byter: specify bitwise operators (&, | and ^) in MAT rules Bug Fixes/Improvements - Use two fingers to scroll canvas (improves movement of blocks) (iOS) - Unplanned ‘faded’ UI appearance gone (iOS) - Using keyboard while menu open results in lots of modules added (macOS) - Blocks highlight when moved - Long MIDI port names truncated and sized correctly - Issue with ’lost’ blocks when moved too far right/down resolved - Stream Byter: correctly remaps program changes to notes/CCs - Dynamic Clock: remote tap tempo could cause very large clock speeds - Fixed crash if scene change events come in too quickly - Many other minor bugs/improvements
And here's a nice video to show off some of the new features:
Regards, Nic.
