Does MIDIFire or any app really, support midi to keystroke on iOS? that is to say, an app that sits in the background and when it receives a specific midi message it spits out a keystroke to the foreground app?

Hi meestorx , Unfortunately, Apple do not allow 3rd party apps to inject keystrokes from the background for security reasons. It can be done on the mac though (hopefully will be a forthcoming feature for the mac version of MidiFire). Regards, Nic.
