IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT FOR MIDIBRIDGE OWNERS
Today I received notification from Apple that if I do not submit an update to MidiBridge within the next 30 days then it will automatically be removed from the App Store.
As you may or may not know, I am not able to submit updates to MidiBridge as it relies deeply on two 3rd party libraries which are not available for 64 bit and Apple will no longer permit 32 bit only apps to be submitted. MidiBridge is already incompatible with iOS 11 and greater due to this.
MidiFire has replaced MidiBridge, and apart from support for legacy non-CoreMIDI hardware (Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer I and Akai SynthStation 25) and H-Pi microtuning support, there is nothing that MidiFire cannot do that MidiBridge can. Indeed, MidiFire can do much, much more.
In order to encourage existing MidiBridge customers to migrate to MidiFire when it was released, I created a cross grade bundle that allows MidiBridge owners to purchase MidiFire at a 60% discount. When Apple remove MidiBridge for sale, that cross grade bundle will also be removed and along with it the ability to get MidiFire at the reduced price.
Therefore, if you are a MidiBridge customer you have until mid-August to take advantage of the low cost upgrade to MidiFire.

If you do not move to MidiFire, then MidiBridge will still continue to work as it always has on your iOS10 or below device. Apple says:
"Your app will remain fully functional for current users. They will experience no interruption to services, will still be able to buy in-app purchases, and can re-download the app while restoring from an iCloud or iTunes backup."
I will continue to support customers using MidiBridge where I can.
Regards, Nic.
