Hi Nic,
I'm using Midi Designer with MidiFire to control iOS instruments when playing live. I use controls on Midi Designer to: Change MidFire scenes Control volume and effect levels on instruments (eg iLectric, iGrand, SampleTank, Galileo Organ, etc) Send note-ons to select drawbar presets on Galileo Send Start/Stop and tempo to MidiFire's Dynamic clock to drive MidiMetro
With MidiBridge I set up all connections directly from Midi Designer. With MidiFire it seems more elegant to route all the signals through MidiFire, which also allows me to see the messages in Event Monitor.
In the process of checking what was going on, I think I've pretty much answered my own question, but could you confirm that the following makes sense?
To get all the commands to MidiFire I just need to configure Midi designer with MidiFire as a destination. Then the commands are available in MF from the MF source.
(One source of confusion was that to get MD to appear as a source in MF I also needed to turn on "Midi Designer Initiated Virtual MIDI Out" in MD.)
Regards, Dave.

Hi drkeys, Yes you are correct. or me the most logical way in my mind is indeed to use the MidiFire virtual port as destination in MD and then use the MidiFire port on the MF canvas. Now, you can also do it the other way and use the MD virtual port instead. As long as you don't use both! Regards, Nic.
