Korg iPolysix does not have the ability to be driven by external sync, but it does have the ability to have it's sequencer started and stopped via controller message.
Using MidiBridge it is possible to do a bit of Stream Byter work to get the iPolysix transport to start when the MidiBus transport is started. Note, this is not a full sync so whether the sequencer will stay in sync with the rest of your apps/devices once started depends upon a number of factors.
Here is what I did step, by step:
1. Start iPolysix first, MidiBus second and then start/switch to MidiBridge
2. On the iPolysix destination (on right), touch the beaker icon and then the Stream Byter module. Add the following ruleset to the Stream Byter and press the 'Install Rules' button.
# translate MIDI start/stop to Korg CC
FA-B = B0 6F 7F # start
FC = B0 6F 00 # stop
F8 = XX +B # block ticks for efficiency
3. Save your rules into a preset and then return to the MidiBridge 'Interfaces' page. Connect MidiBus (left) to iPolysix (right)
4. Switch to MidiBus and when you press the start key, the iPolysix sequencer will start. Press stop and SEQ should stop. If you press MidiBus continue, then (since iPolysix has no continue option) SEQ will start.
If no go, make sure that the clock is enabled (clock icon+arrow) for the MidiBus virtual output (usually is by default). Also check iPolysix 'background audio' option is on.
I imagine this will work for iMS-20 also (not 100% sure if the CC is the same).
