Hi Nic! I understand that StreamByter are simple MIDI interpretator, not MIDI processor but Is there possible to save and recall CC or Note message bytes? Is there way to save variable of note number, velocity, etc. and request or use this variable later? Can I use X2 X3 for this ? If yes what syntax of X2 X3 using? * My humanitarian brain exploding because of failed variants %))

Hi karramba,
You can use the X2/X3 notation to preserve values from input to output, but these only apply to the same rule. X2 signifies byte 2 and X3 byte 3.
For example you could (a bit crazy) turn a controller to sound notes like this:
BX 07 = 9X X3 60 +C BX 07 = 8X X3 +D500 +C
As you turn the controller (volume) then the notes representing the value will sound for 1/2 second.
Most often the X2/X3 are used for doing things with aftertouch messages.
Hope that helps.
Regards, Nic.
