Hi Nic,
I run a Mojave hackintosh Lenovo T440P MidiFire/Ableton setup with great success.
Like many, I’m interested by new M1 MacBooks.
Does MidiFire works well with Rosetta 2? No stability nor latency issues?
On long term, do you plan to update MidiFire for native M1 support?
Best wishes.

Hi janosax, I have no idea how it works in Rosetta2. Hoping someone tries it out and tells me - I have no plans to get an m1 machine. Apparently it is simple enough to recompile for universal in xcode 12, but moving to new xcode usually has it's own set of pain points. I will probably wait until things are stabilised - I am not sure if macOS has the same CoreMIDI problems that are plaguing iOS 14.2 at the moment. I'm letting sleeping dogs lie for now. Regards, Nic.

Hi Nic,
Don’t hesitate to reply again if you have positive feedbacks about those specific configurations.
I feel that most OS today lacks some long term reliability for live music, we never know when it will be broken, and even less when/if it will be fixed.
Going hardware route? Some features will miss heavily...
Cheers.
