Hey there, I only just found out about MIDIFire and am excited by the possibility of using my phone as a USB MIDI host rather than involving the computer to interface my OP-1 to my Eurorack. I'd like to connect the OP-1 USB to some sort of USB hub, connected to the iPhone to act as a USB MIDI host, and then back to the USB hub, which is then connected to an Intellijel MIDI 1u, to be patched to my Eurorack oscillators and envelope generators. I wish the OP-1 could act as a USB host, but alas it cannot. I know my use case is very specific, but I am wondering if this will work. Is this possible? I've seen posts of people using MIDIBridge for this purpose from like 2015, but can't find anything about MIDIFire. If this is possible, can anyone recomment a USB host that connects to the iPhone, or do I need to use the apple Camera Connection Kit? Thanks for your insights

Hi serioko , You will need the Apple Camera Connection Kit, a powered USB hub and the right set of cables to connect each device into the hub. Once everything is connected, MidiFire should see both the OP-1 and the Intellijel device as physical ports and you will be able to route MIDI events between them. Regards, Nic.
