Hi, I'm looking in to getting a second iPad to connect to MidiFire, the goal is to avoid bluetooth, wifi or ableton link as I intend to use it in a live situation with a lot of midi traffic and considerable space in between the devices. The only thing is that I don't have the means to test this at the moment wether MF will connect this way, and I can't find anything on the forum about it. I've used iPad ethernet to an MPC before for ableton link which worked perfectly. So that gave me a little hope to look in to the MF situation. The idea is to use a usb-c to ethernet adapter on both devices conected straight by a Lan cable. Would appriciate to hear any experiences!

You could try posting this on the Audiobus forum. Just be sure to emphasize that you mean point-to point wired ethernet, no switch, no router, no WiFi. I've seen a lot of fretting about Network MIDI latency over WiFi.
