StreamByter does the heavy lifting in my new MIDI Designer layout, with MIDI Designer providing the interface. The Tr is unique (in my experience) in that it enforces a valid checksum to respond to SysEx. So lots of work for SB in determining variation and pattern addresses, assembling SysEx messages, and calculating checksums. About 16 pages of code. At the time I developed this, MD did not support subroutines (recently corrected), so the code could be shorter. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwG0IfNU2b4mididesigner.com/qa/9975https://mididesigner.com/qa/9975The layout is sequencing TR-6s - Pattern Changes - Variation Changes - Fill settings - Synchronized stop Working on a more capable sequencer - stay tuned. The “sequencer” works at the measure level, not sequencing notes, but the drum machine settings for next measure, and how many times to repeat the measure, etc.. Then loads the settings to the Tr so it is ready for next downbeat. Shoutout to Mike who got me restarted on this project.
